Job Overview:
XCAD Hospitality & Care Company is seeking compassionate and reliable Family Caregivers to provide in-home support and assistance to clients in need of daily living care. The Family Caregiver will help individuals maintain their independence and dignity by assisting with personal care, companionship, and household tasks, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Support mobility and transfers, including the use of assistive devices.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding when required.
- Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and maintain a clean living space.
- Monitor clients’ well-being and promptly report changes in health or behavior.
- Offer medication reminders as outlined in the care plan.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments, errands, or social activities.
- Respect clients’ dignity, privacy, and cultural values.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure continuity of care.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience as a caregiver, personal support worker, or in a similar role is an asset.
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful approach to caregiving.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical ability to support mobility and assist with daily tasks.
- Reliability, responsibility, and ability to work independently.
- Flexibility to work varying schedules, including evenings and weekends.
Education & Certification:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- CPR and First Aid Certification (asset).
- On-the-job training provided.
