Job Overview:
XCAD Hospitality & Care Company is seeking a talented and experienced Chef / Head Cook to lead our kitchen operations. The successful candidate will oversee menu planning, food preparation, and kitchen staff management while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and presentation. This role requires strong leadership, creativity, and dedication to delivering exceptional dining experiences for our clients, residents, and guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, develop, and execute menus that reflect nutritional balance, seasonal variety, and customer satisfaction.
- Supervise, train, and coordinate the kitchen team to ensure efficient operations.
- Prepare and cook meals while maintaining consistency, quality, and presentation.
- Monitor food costs, inventory, and waste management to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with all provincial and federal food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Collaborate with management to accommodate dietary restrictions and special requests.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety in the kitchen and storage areas.
- Oversee ordering and receiving of supplies to maintain appropriate stock levels.
- Foster a positive and professional work environment for kitchen staff.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience as a Chef, Head Cook, or in a senior culinary role.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety, and kitchen management.
- Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Creativity in menu design and presentation.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Education & Certification:
- Culinary diploma, certification, or equivalent training preferred.
- Food Safety and Sanitation Certification required.
